How to teach children self-defense

For the really adult children of tactical battlefield requires an attacker 'dirty' and in the book, but like children to teach, that they need and prevent debilitating on the pitch in the way?

THE QUESTION
"It is a great way to teach the techniques and tactics of the "sale" of children, but to weaken only in appropriate situations?" How can I my children good to bite it, is to say, all adults and 'Solar plexus' collect eye "unknown" (as low immediately family member), who tries to catch or anger - and also learn how to do if I can trust, that they that are no child to confuse this with them on the website? "

THE EXPERT
Phil Thompson is the teacher only Senshido man of New Zealand, founder and Director of international protection. Pregnant competent and estimated basic self-defense defends perspectives Thompson of public seminars in New Zealand and other programs, the Government and companies.

THE ANSWER
There's certainly a child sure things such possibilities. But before talking about, it is vital that we revise the issue, including the reference to "unknown adults".  The most important elements is to protect of our children teach - urgent far from "unknown threat" move underperforming models. It does not work for them alone and never. There are several reasons why this is inefficient and in our book, we have occasionally, but only one of those reasons is that the vast majority of abuse at the hands of the famous faces of the child or the family takes place.

"Stranger danger" is a malicious embedded message: because if the 'foreigners' are dangerous, we need to know, are as "safe". This message caused to update a large number of victimisation and quickly. Our children, we must be aware, that there is not only one person (i.e. unknown) or it looks it makes it dangerous to behavior. When teach us to focus attention on children's behavior, she helps them, trust and realistic possibilities, rather than impose unnecessary fear in young minds.  There are many views, which leads to another article, but courses should the safety of all children always trying children, fear not.

The physical part of protection is not a strategy of last resort if the detection and prevention. These guidelines are much more accustomed, but the child of (real) must always be avoided physical arsenal. Note: the goal is not, to fight.

If the child is a quality self defense children is a special form of 'life' - filled adult rivals, it is ideal, but it is not always possible so often the parents/guardians and training. Of course security imperative and should be never easy. Protective gear is a must.

Not any matter if the child is a black belt at the physical level, it is unlikely that the old man seven years with the usual technology the simple reality. Instead we teach "Wriggle defence" (I could not think of a better name). This is the first time and development tools to explore, so that they know where and how you attack. Children winds defence practice (if you ever tried to save a child who wants to understand the passion, instead of you) - then they thrash, they crawl, they scream, they run, they fight! Then place the tool and end use (kicks, bites, gouging, scratches, shaper of the gums, feet) with the defence wriggle movement, and have a child that is very hard to control, move or secure.

The trains are safe, but with realism with a real energy (hence protection), and it should be fun. If it never need against the 'dangerous' people in a school yard to be, most children really get it. It should also for use against the largest individuals more, she lists or draw, is probably not with their peers in a situation, playground.

The role of the different scenarios and work through defensive strategies for the detection, prevention, De-escalation physical attacks and steps (cont'd) added (Yes, it applies to children).

All trainings with children's problems seriously, but needs to be done a funny is often a good medium-sized gaming environment. And don't forget always positive encouragement throughout the process.
